Kieselsol and Chitosan are a two-part wine clarifier used to rapidly clear haze and suspended particles from fermented beverages such as wine, cider, and beer. This fining system helps improve clarity by binding to particles and allowing them to settle out quickly.

Commonly used by home winemakers before bottling, Kieselsol and Chitosan help produce a brighter, more polished finished wine.

How to Use:

  • Add Kieselsol first, after the wine has been fully stabilized and degassed.
  • Stir gently for about 20 seconds.
  • Wait at least 1 hour (up to 24 hours).
  • Add Chitosan and stir gently for about 20 seconds.
  • Allow the wine to stand until it becomes completely clear.

This two-stage fining process helps remove haze, suspended yeast, and other particles to improve wine clarity before bottling.
