I have a love hate relationship with this product. While I love the size of the mug and the neat lid, the finish/pattern became scuffed within days of me using it. Since then, so much of the paint has scratched off and it’s very disappointing. After a few weeks it looked like I’d been using it for a year or two. I’ve never had another travel mug of any other brand do this before. The lid was also almost impossible to remove after the mug was filled with hot contents which made figuring out how to place the lid properly quite frustrating. It’s great that it seals so well but it almost seals TOO well. However, now that I’ve figured out the way I like the lid to sit and have been using the mug daily for a few months, this isn’t a problem. I’ve been meaning to reach out to BruMate directly regarding the paint situation especially because I expected better quality when paying a high price for the product.
